This Tuesday, May 14, there is a very important election scheduled for a Christina School Board position. John Young is an extremely intelligent and dedicated advocate for public school children, educators and families. He has consistently shown the willingness and courage to confront the mercenary corporate reformists who are causing irreparable damage to Delaware public schools. He has used his experience, intellect, and work ethic to allow the public to see the intimate details and harmful effects of Standardized Testing, Common Core curricula, the dismantling of neighborhood schools, and the failure of the Legislative/Executive branches to adequately fund public education. I agree with John Young’s assessment of Christina’s woes and support his efforts to wrest control of the Christina School District from the hands of well-intentioned but misinformed State leaders and bureaucrats.
Please make your decision on Tuesday in the best interest of the children of Christina and the educators who dedicate themselves to those children and their families. Vote on Tuesday and vote for the only person on that ballot who has shown his commitment and willingness to serve our children, John Young.
